Delta Force Land Warrior, the gaming software from Novalogic, takes its name from a project in US army. Delta Force is a group of soldiers specialized in combating terrorism. The software allows you to engage the enemy in expansive indoor and vast outdoor environments as you command a team of especially skilled soldiers. You have the choice of selecting the team members from diverse characters, each with their own special abilities. Once you start the operations you can use the GPS, which is a heads-up system that will give real time information on enemy position on the field. This adds to your screen as it provides you with all of the info you could need on troop movements, building locations, waypoints, and targets. This feature, as well as another one called OICW, is taken from the original US army program, besides, its name tries to give a real world action feeling to the program. OICW permits you to use a powerful new assault rifle that not only allows for long distance sniping, but also has a high-explosive grenade capable of exploding and launching shrapnel that can hit targets behind obstacles. You can wage war against the vast battle field of Nova world with up to 50 players at a time. The terrains and the indoor environment are pretty good. Even though the animations are not up to mark, you can manage to have fun with the game. You can also rank yourself against your enemies as you command your team on Nova World.
The multiplayer (through online) version of the game is much better compared to the single player version on many aspects.
